UCDP is intentionally kept small and highly personalized to foster a supportive community, individualized growth, and lasting professional relationships that extend beyond the program. That approach allows us to provide the level of training, mentorship, industry knowledge, professional materials, and networking opportunities needed to prepare dancers for professional careers. While we never guarantee employment or representation, we are incredibly proud that the majority of UCDP dancers have gone on to secure agency representation, professional work, or both shortly after completing the program.
To preserve this highly personalized experience, enrollment is limited to a maximum of 30 dancers each season, and all prospective participants complete an audition questionnaire and a callback interview.

Prospective candidates fill out a questionnaire and showcase their dancing experience to determine their eligibility for the program. Only advanced dancers ages 18-28 are considered for a callback.
(Auditioning does not commit you to enroll, and selection for a callback does not guarantee a spot in the program.)
Dancers are notified whether they have been selected for a callback within 7 days of submitting their audition questionnaire.
The selected dancers interview with the program director to determine whether their goals align with the program, and to answer any questions they might have.
This is a short interview done via Zoom.

The UCDP 2026-2027 season will run from August 22 through April 24, with a 3-week holiday break starting December 14.
Training schedule is two days weekly on Saturdays & Sundays, at either Studio Fusion in Huntington Beach, or in Los Angeles (one day – one location). Students can expect to be on site for 4-8 hours, depending on the type of class or workshop.
One-on-one mentoring sessions are scheduled regularly during the week via Zoom or phone.
Graduation Day is at the beginning of May in Huntington Beach.
Dancers accepted into UCDP pay a nonrefundable $500 deposit, which is applied toward tuition, to secure their place in the program. The remaining tuition balance is $9,500. Flexible payment plans and a limited number of partial scholarships are available.
Tuition covers the full 32-week mentorship program, including all classes, workshops, seminars, one-on-one mentoring sessions, professional headshots, dance reel production, performance videos, professional development materials, and additional program resources.
