Prospective candidates fill out a questionnaire and showcase their dancing experience to determine their eligibility for the program. Only advanced dancers ages 18-28 are considered for a callback.
Audition Questionnaire
Dancers are notified whether they have been selected for a callback within 7 days of submitting their audition questionnaire.
Interview
The selected dancers interview with the program director to determine whether their goals align with the program, and to answer any questions they might have.
This is a short interview done via Zoom.
Dancers are notified whether they have been accepted into the UCDP mentorship within 7 days of their callback interview.
Schedule
The UCDP 2025-2026 season will run from September 6 through May 17, with a 3-week holiday break starting December 15.
Training schedule is two days weekly on Saturdays & Sundays, at either Studio Fusion in Huntington Beach, or in Los Angeles (one day – one location). Students can expect to be on site for 4-8 hours, depending on the type of class or workshop.
One-on-one mentoring sessions are scheduled regularly during the week via Zoom or phone.
Graduation Day is May 23 in Huntington Beach. Upon graduation, the UCDP dancer will possess the necessary knowledge, tools, and training to embark on a future in commercial dance.
TUITION
Dancers accepted into UCDP must pay a (nonrefundable) $500 deposit toward their tuition to secure their spot in the program.
Tuition is $10,000 (including the initial deposit). Different payment plans and discounts are available. Tuition covers workshops, classes, seminars, and other materials for the full 8-month program.
